Shapeshifted - Cassie Alexander

This is one of the few series were I have to re-read past books just so I can remember what the heck was going on when I start a new entry! So if you are wondering if you could read this one as a standalone, yes you may but you would love it so much more with the background story. In fact, I change my mind-you should NOT read this without delving into the past books. It will really help you understand just what is going on and why it is all happening to Edie.

Shapeshifted (Edie Spence)

Deadshifted (An Edie Spence Novel) (Published on Dec 31, 2013)

In the last book, Edie had been shunned by the Otherworld community (for her own good and health) and now she is trying to make her way in a world where she knows things are not always what they seem. That the things that go bump in the night in our imaginations can really play hell with you.

Now Edie really needs help with her dying Mother and she has nowhere to turn. The Shadows tell her that in order to get the help her Mother needs, she has to hunt down Santa Muerte for them. So many interesting things happen, so much terrific character growth happens, and there is even some real romance to this installment...with someone I did not expect!
