Review: Gold Coast Dilemma

Gold Coast Dilemma Gold Coast Dilemma by Nana Malone
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 (we need half stars!)

I enjoyed most of this book, but I did not love it. I don't know if it was that I couldn't identify with the main characters (I'm not rich, and I may be a little too old for this type of "romance"), or that the side characters were just cartoonish and clichéd.

Otherwise it was interesting to read about the problems both sides face when entering a black/white relationship.

The book may have been touted as a romance, but I found myself more interested in the publishing aspect, the food, and the bias that shone on both sides of the coin.

This would make a fascinating book for book clubs to discuss, and is definitely well worth taking to the beach!
